Q: Styling lists

It seems that finding the simplest of things is the hardest sometimes! Can anyone show me or otherwise indicate how one would go about altering the properties of the UL and OL lists (for posts / pages) such that the lists are less spaced out? Default styling has them at what seems to be a double line spacing. How would I get this to be single?
