Does anyone know how to change the header width only without damaging the whole template width? I want it to be 100%.
With the footer there is no problem but the header width is contoled the page width.

The standard header image for K2 is 780 x 200 pixels. As long as the header you substitute is that size, things will work perfectly.

Keep in mind though that the entire header (including the location of the top buttons) is within that 780 x 200 box, so if your logo is bright it may be hard for visitors to read the buttons without hovering over them. I instead made my logo 780 x 175 and aligned it to the top to let my buttons sit under the logo.

You could always use a seperate div. But this solution is a good alternative, except it is hard to line things up correctly in IE.
