I've been looking at Paul and Michael's sites and haven't noticed categories, so I was wondering, should I bother with them? I like these sites and they seem to be functioning without them. I'm asking because I'm not sure what categories I would want on my site, so would it make more sense to go with tags only? Is that even possible, to do away with categories and go all tags?

Categories + tags, if you don't want either you can always just not display the information, but it'll be good to have them implemented if you want to use them down the road.

I'm not sure what categories I would want so that's why I was thinking tags along. To implement the tags, I'm going to need UTW 1 and 2?

You really could go either way. There are sites that use cats and tags, there are sites that use only cats and there are sites that use only tags. I would advise against using cats only though. If you choose the tags route you'll just need to install UTW from the UTW site (http://www.neato.co.nz/ultimate-tag-warrior/) and go.

I use a system similar to what Michael has on the B. I have a main category that holds all of my entires and then a second category that holds all my asides. The entries category I manage with tags via UTW. I only do things this way because I want my asides styled differently.

I've been looking for help with removing the category information from the byline on each post and from the sidebar of the various K2 pages. Can someone advise?

Open up theloop.php and remove line 111. Save and upload. Voila!
