Later you make a catalog of those text strings and provide it with the theme. Now, everybody who wants to can use this catalog and translate the english text strings into his / her wanted language. Now when there's an update to K2, you have nothing to worry that you have to all the work again what you would have to do, when you translated the text strings in the theme's core files directly.</description>
